Hi disciple-making friend,
I am excited to introduce to you our training men groups. The time is now. We are launching our new season of “training men groups." We want to train faithful men who feel qualified or want to be qualified to train other faithful men.
"You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." - 2 Timothy 2:2
You can see four generations of disciple making in this passage. The first is Paul writing the letter to his spiritual son Timothy to train the third generation faithful men who will teach the fourth generation others also… (other men, women, boys and girls).
So, Ray Haas, pastor of Family Church, will train you to train faithful men who will train others. Are you a Paul? Are you a Timothy? Are you a faithful man? Do you desire to train other faithful men who will then teach others? If so, this opportunity is for you today! I believe we have a great program, better yet a great system, or more accurately a simple reproducible Jesus like way to train disciple-makers. It is so simple, it is hard! You know what I mean. It will be one of the best nine month commitments you have ever made.
We will not teach you a new philosophy of ministry or a new disciple-making language. We will not teach a new model of ministry. We will teach you the Bible and teach you how to make disciple-makers using the Bible. Our content can be used in any church or denomination. We believe this is some of the best disciple-making content out there. We also believe this must get into the hands of church leaders and faithful men around the world. Will you join us?
Yes, there is a commitment. You are agreeing to be a disciple maker. By joining this group you are committing to intentionally disciple your family and sphere of influence. You are committing to training other faithful men to teach others. This means you are committing to train faithful men, not just in ‘discipleship', but to be disciple makers! This is a big deal. We do not take this assignment lightly. We expect 100% of the men we train to train other faithful men with the authority of Jesus expecting the Holy Spirit to teach you as you GO and obey the great commission.
I do not think I need to give you a list of qualifications. I think you know what I mean by faithful men. Are you are a faithful man? Think F.A.T. = Faithful. Available. Teachable.
This training group will be relational. You will have access to Pastor Ray Haas and myself throughout the week. We hope that every person in the group will make himself accessible throughout the week to each other as well.
This training group will also be highly challenging. We will speak the truth in love. We will commit to doing what God is teaching us, even if it is hard. We will please God over man. We will do what we feel is the most loving thing we can do for you, so that, you will be trained as a disciple maker. Hard questions will be asked. Vulnerability will be needed. Growth will happen. Fun will be had.
We will measure everything by asking three questions: 1. Are you learning the material? 2. Are you living out what you are learning? 3. Are you passing it on to others?
Ok. Here are the details:
Three group options: Each group will end the week of November 12-18, 2017 (9 month sessions)
1. Every Monday evening 7 PM Central Time - 60 minute sessions (Starting March 6, 2017 - Ray and Jed Haas)
2. Every Wednesday morning 7 Am Central Time - 60 minute sessions (Starting March 8, 2017 - Ray and Jed Haas)
3. Every Thursday morning 5 AM Central Time - 60 minute sessions (Starting March 9, 2017 - Ray Haas only)
We will use ZOOM to connect virtually each session. It it VERY easy to use. ZOOM is like Skype, but I believe cleaner and more user friendly for our purposes.
Zoom has an audio and video option for your flexibility and a phone app. For our sessions I highly encourage using an audio AND video option in a private setting with desk space to have your Bible and notes in front of you (or at least your computer which can do audio, video, note taking and the Bible all in one). But, like I said, stuff comes up and you need to connect with us while traveling or out and about, options and flexibility are key.
The video chat allows for nonverbal communication, which will be important. It feels like we are sitting across from each other having a cup of coffee. ZOOM also has an in group messaging feature, document sharing, and many other options. If you do not have a video or screen option you will miss out (this is your excuse to invest in technology).
You can check out the content here.
Please review this blog one more time and prayerfully contact me to let me know if you would like to talk further about jumping into a group. Also, indicate which group option you are able to attend. If you are open during multiple options please let me know which options work best and I will place you in the group I think would fit best for you.
Thank you. I look forward to seeing what God does through this commitment to train men to be disciple makers.
I look forward to hearing back from you. Contact me here.
P.S. Please pass this on to other faithful men you think would benefit and be interested in this training opportunity.
