Preferred Future for every Regional Disciple-making Church
Acts 19:9-10, "But when some became stubborn and continued in unbelief, speaking evil of the Way before the congregation, he withdrew from them and took the disciples with him, reasoning daily in the hall of Tyrannus from 11 AM to 4 PM (“from the 5th hour to the tenth”). 10 This continued for two years, so that all the residents of Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks."
Each church is the Tyrannus Hall of their region.
Every adult and child is in the process of learning, living and being able to pass on to people in their God-given jurisdiction God’s required curriculum.
virtualDISCIPLEMAKER.com equips, encourages and empowers faithful men to live as disciple-makers in their home and sphere of influence.
I once heard it said when in leadership to look for F.A.T. people. This acrostic stands for Faithful. Available. Teachable. Some men may be faithful, but are they available? Some men may seem teachable, but are they faithful? Some men may be available, but are they faithful and teachable?
Let’s focus on the word “Faithful.”
Here’s a dictionary definition for faithful - having or showing true and constant support or loyalty; deserving trust - keeping your promises or doing what you are supposed to do.
2 Timothy 2:2, "and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also."
We are focused on encouraging, equipping, and empowering the faithful men among us to be disciple-makers of their homes and spheres of influence. This must happen. This is what will change our families, neighborhoods, churches, cities and nations.
I think we have all heard the statistics. If you reach the man you reach the household (even the whole extended family). We believe God will bring to us many faithful men to equip as disciple-makers. These are the men that will lead in the disciple-making movement that is happening worldwide.
We have lost a generation in the United States. According to one Barna survey, “…we found that less than one-half of one percent of adults in the Mosaic generation – i.e., those aged 18 to 23 – have a biblical worldview, compared to about one out of every nine older adults.”
Barna says, “For the purposes of the survey, a “biblical worldview” was defined as believing that absolute moral truth exists; the Bible is totally accurate in all of the principles it teaches; Satan is considered to be a real being or force, not merely symbolic; a person cannot earn their way into Heaven by trying to be good or do good works; Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on earth; and God is the all-knowing, all-powerful creator of the world who still rules the universe today. In the research, anyone who held all of those beliefs was said to have a biblical worldview.”
Now is the time to equip faithful men to train others. If this post makes your heart beat a little faster and your mind to be a little more alert and you desire to be equipped as a disciple-maker please reach out and message me. I would love to connect with you.
Together with Jesus we can bring the Kingdom of God to earth more and more each day. Together we can help our families and spheres of influence meet, know and follow Jesus.
Will you obey Jesus? Jesus said, "GO make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you and surely I will be will you always to the very end of the age."
